The US Department of Defense Humanitarian Demining Training Center (DoD HDTC) prepares U.S. forces (Special Forces and Civil Affairs teams, Psychological Operations and Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel, and General Purpose Force Engineers) to conduct humanitarian mine action missions in mine affected countries. The HDTC directly supports U.S. engagement policy in humanitarian mine action through a "train-the-trainer" approach to landmine mitigation and indigenous capacity development.
