Sure Start
Sure Start Program Description:
Sure Start is an Early Childhood Education Program meant to provide students with the skills necessary to be successful in kindergarten. Vicenza Elementary School offers this program to four-year-old children who meet the following criteria:
- Single parent family
- Parent on remote assignment for three or more months
- Parent whose primary language is not English
- Child born with a low birth weight
- Family income corresponds to the E-1 to E-4 or GS-1 to GS-4 range
- There are three or more siblings close in age
- Family has an older child with a disability
- Parent has not graduated from high school
