Despite the difficult economic period Greece is going through, opportunities exist, and our economic and commercial team at the Embassy stands ready to assist you in every way possible.

The United States strongly supports the economic reforms Greece has committed to, which will lay the base for a prosperous and sustainable future.  We have worked closely with the Greek government and the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce to advocate for a more inviting investment climate where U.S. firms can compete in all sectors.  We seek to strengthen intellectual property rights and protect and promote new and emerging technologies.  We engage extensively in trade promotion, commercial advocacy and market access support to increase the U.S. share of the Greek market.

The Embassy has also initiated, organized, and nurtured several programs to promote entrepreneurship in Greece.  Our partnerships with dynamic local NGOs seek to enhance the contribution entrepreneurship can make to Greece’s economic recovery through networking and mentoring programs.

We have included in this section several links to assist you in finding information both about doing business in Greece as well as in the United States. We hope that you find this information helpful and we welcome your comments and suggestions.
