165th Airlift Wing


2/1/2013 - Richmond Hill, Ga. -- National Guard Major Douglas Robertson represented the Georgia Air National Guard at Dr. George Washington Carver Elementary School's annual career fair. Robertson presented a video titled, "A Day in the Life of Georgia Air National Guard's 165th Airlift Wing" and answered questions about careers in the Air National Guard from students in Mrs. Rachel Mahon's fifth grade class. Upon completion of the videos, Robertson assisted students with wearing a pilot's helmet, flack jacket, survival vest, and gas mask and demonstrated the functionality of night vision goggles.

The Carver Elementary career fair draws military and civilian employers from Chatham and Bryan counties. Some of the major military and law enforcement in attendance were the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army, Georgia Air National Guard, Richmond Hill Police Department, and Richmond Hill Fire Department.
