Could it be that some NBA teams haven't realized the Halloween party is over? As espnW's Kate Fagan and Sarah Spain discuss, some teams might still be in costume. The 76ers, apparently unaware they're supposed to lose, are 3-1 with wins over the Heat and Bulls. The Timberwolves are 3-1 and showing flashes of playoff potential. But at least the contenders are still who we thought they were ... oh, wait. The Heat are 2-2? The Bulls are 1-2? Which teams' success -- or lack thereof -- is an illusion?

Red Sox's offseason questions

Beards have been shaved, duck boats have been put away, and the long offseason has begun for the world champion Boston Red Sox. The team extended qualifying offers to three key players today -- Jacoby Ellsbury, Stephen Drew and Mike Napoli. Ellsbury is likely to test the free-agent market, but Drew and Napoli seem far more likely to return after turning in unexpectedly solid seasons. The team also has to decide what to do at catcher -- they did not extend Jarrod Saltalamacchia a qualifying offer and could go for free agent Brian McCann to take up duties behind the plate.

Packers done without Rodgers?

Perhaps the biggest injury of the season hit early Monday night, when Aaron Rodgers fell awkwardly on a sack and left the game with a left-shoulder injury. The Green Bay Packers couldn't overcome their quarterback's absence, falling to the Chicago Bears 27-20 with Seneca Wallace under center. After the game, Rodgers confirmed he had a broken collarbone, something sources tell ESPN.com could sideline him for three weeks.
