Admission Requirements
For consideration into the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, all applicants must:
Note: A bachelor's degree is not required.
A criminal background check and drug screening will be required for applicants offered admission.
Grade Point Average
The minimum overall grade point average (GPA) required to be considered for admission is 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
If a course has been failed or repeated, all attempts are used in the calculation of the grade point average. However, the Admissions Committee will consider any grade trends. For example, if the second grade in a course was better or much better, that is favorable.
Admissions Test (PCAT) www.pcatweb.info
All applicants are required to take the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) which is administered during the months of January, July and September. Applicants must complete the PCAT by September prior to the year they plan to start the PharmD program.

The exam consists of the following five subsets, in addition to two writing samples:
The PCAT must have been completed within the last three (3) years.
Admissions Process
Application | Submit an online application through UNT System College of Pharmacy online application. Once the application is complete, the application will be reviewed by an Admissions Committee. |
Interview |
The Admissions Committee will review all applicant information and invite prospective applicants to interview for the PharmD program. Note that not all applicants will be invited to interview. |
Decision |
Following the interview process, the Admissions Committee will review the entire applicant file and make a decision on the applicant’s entry into the PharmD program. |
The UNT System College of Pharmacy is in the process of becoming accredited by the Accreditation Council for
Pharmacy Education. The College will not be fully accredited until it graduates its first class in spring 2017.
