Owen Schumacher, President of Remote HydroLight, explains the cradle-to-grave process of how a micro-hydropower plant facility was built and installed in the village of Daste Riwat, Panjshayr province, back in January 2009, to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers representatives during a meeting May 21, 2011. The installation of the unit was part of a USACE contract awarded in late 2006 to Remote HydroLight and Advanced Engineering Associates International to construct 105 units in seven of 34 Afghan provinces.
