Sappers clear route to combat outpost

U.S. Army Sgt. Neal Bakerlis, a team leader, and U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Misioka Mauluga, a squad leader, both attached to 2nd Platoon, 102nd Sapper Company, 307th Engineer Battalion (Combat Airborne), 20th Engineer Brigade, out of Fort Bragg, N.C., prepare the plastic explosive they will use to detonate an anti-tank mine outside Combat Outpost Charkh, Oct. 14, 2012. The 102nd SC conducted a three-day route clearance patrol to ensure safety of movement to and from COP Charkh.
