Exactly as authorities feared, the nor'easter brought down tree limbs and electrical wires, and utilities in New York and New Jersey reported that nearly 60,000 customers who lost power because of Sandy lost it all over again as a result of the nor'easter.

AP INTERACTIVE: In President Barack Obama’s first term, he achieved health care reform against tough odds, but an immigration overhaul eluded him and George W. Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy that he swore he would end are still around. Obama didn’t make many new promises in his latest campaign, but he has plenty outstanding.

President Obama's second term promises are a mix of new ideas and the left over. Some include rolling back the Bush tax cuts for upper-income people, cutting deficits by $4 trillion and slashing imports of foreign oil by half by 2020.

The same voters who gave President Barack Obama another four years also elected a divided Congress, re-upping the dynamic that has made it so hard for Obama to advance his agenda. Democrats retained control of the Senate; Republicans renewed their majority in the House.

And Warren is great because she is the first native American from the Faux tribe in the senate.  Talk about diversity.  As for the Tea Party ... where do they get these crazy ideas about following the constitution, avoiding wars, staying out of the affairs of other nations, keeping what you earn ... such lunatics.

Congrats Obama, now onto fixing the climate and voter suppression. Republicans are not interested in a democratic fair vote. They tried to steal the election. Those responsible should go to jail along with the bankers who black mailed us with their housing bubble.

+Wallace Connell, pst...I've studied applied economics...I don't care about your opinions about pop economics. Nor do I care to get into a serious debate about GDP-public debt at midnight when I have work in the morning. So take your "wows" and your smugness built on pseudo-economic analysis and long-standing conservative talking points to someone who might genuinely be interested in what you think about the macroeconomics of public finance. I'm not.
