Traveling Just Got Easier...New Service Provides Amtrak Access! |
Starting on Wed, 3 Oct. Amtrak will start Thruway bus service routes to Jacksonville and several surrounding communities. Using safe, modern, clean and comfortable intercity motor coaches, Amtrak Thruway services will provide easy, convenient coordinated train/bus connections. With this service you can now take Amtrak Thruway Service buses to destinations like New York, Charlotte, and Savannah and stops along the way. For special recognition of service to our country, military travelers always receive a 10% discount. For a limited time only, receive a 15% discount on travel between the dates of 3 Oct 2012 and 3 Nov 2012. Passengers may book travel now by calling 1-800-US-Rail. Tickets will also be available on Amtrak.com and the mobile app. The Thruway bus service will utilize the new eTicketing system that allows passengers to print their tickets whenever, wherever, or by using a smartphone to present the eTicket to the conductor. It also allows passengers increased flexibility to make or change reservations. |

The Naval Hospital Offering Influenza (Flu) Vaccination Mists or Shots |
The Naval Hospital will be offering influenza (Flu) vaccination mists or shots around the community throughout Oct. All local TRICARE beneficiaries, DoD civilians and contractors can receive the vaccine. Adults, bring a DoD/CAC card for identification. Children under the age of 12 can be verbally identified as a DoD dependent by a parent or guardian. Upcoming Vaccination Event 7 Nov TT Elementary School 1400-1800 Influenza vaccine shots or mists are available anytime for beneficiaries on a walk-in basis through NHCL's Immunizations Clinic.
