Emergency Communication

Red Cross provides rapid communication between families and military personnel regarding birth announcements, deaths, serious illness, breakdowns in child care, health and welfare reports, or other personal or family problems.

To help ensure that your message is passed in a timely manner, make sure your family has your current rank, social security number, and military address.

**Family members stateside should contact their local Red Cross Chapter to request emergency message service. To find the phone number of your local chapter, go to www.redcross.org and enter your zip code then click find.

Volunteer Opportunities

The American Red Cross is a volunteer driven organization with a proud history of service in local community.

Volunteer positions are available in the post clinics, post office, mail room, library, Health Promotions office, and in the Red Cross office.

If you are interested in an active role within Red Cross, we are always looking for good candidates to take on leadership roles.

Limited childcare is provided to our volunteers.

A Dental Assistant Apprenticeship Program is offered through the dental clinic. Applicants must become Red Cross volunteers, be available for a full-time, intensive program, and have a DEROS date at least one year after the start of the class.

Volunteer Orientations are held the first Tuesday of each month. Interested persons should contact the office for specific times and locations.

  • Babysitter's Training

New Parent Programs

Translation Services are provided for birth registrations and OB appointments.

Our Baby Bundle Program provides a gift of baby necessities to the parents of newborn babies.

The Layette Program provides a free gift from Spencer's Infant and Child Clothing company to newborn babies of parents who are or have been deployed during the birth or majority of pregnancy.

As a keepsake, Decorative Birth Certificates are customized for you and your newborn upon request.
