Our Story

Hi, I'm Mauri Slater, public affairs officer at the 618th air operation center, Tanker Airlift Control Center.

Here at the TACC our primary mission is to plan, task, and execute all the global airlift, air refueling and air medical evacuation missions around the world. Through airlift we provide combatant commands and other users, supplies, equipment and personnel. Through air refueling, we are able to refuel any aircraft through the skies and provide our fighters with their fuel so that they can provide defense on the ground. Our air medical evacuation is a unique capability to turn any aircraft in the mobility fleet into a flying hospital. We return wounded warriors back to state of the art care in the United States.

Here at TACC we are a total force team: active, guard, reserve and civilian personnel all proud members of the TRANSCOM team. We make global reach a reality.
