Media

Throughout the years, the United States Navy Band has had the opportunity to document much of its history through various types of media.  As a musical organization, the Navy Band has found sound recordings to be an effective medium of documenting the past.  In addition to their historical value, recordings inevitably help serve the Navy Band's mission by helping spread its message through distribution.  Our recordings have made their way into schools and libraries across the nation, both demonstrating the ability of Navy musicians and promoting patriotism and the desire to serve.

This website serves as a conduit for recordings from the past and present.  A full listing of our recording output can be found under Discography, as well as the CD Request Form to be used by libraries.  A limited number of recordings from various ensembles of the Navy Band are also available for online streaming our Sounds page.  In addition to full concert recordings, the Navy Band also records and makes available anthems and ceremonial music for use by the Department of Defense and U.S. government organizations.  For official press information, portraits and graphics, please take a look at our Press page.

Our recordings are produced in limited quantities and made available on request, free of charge, to public libraries, educational institutions, and veterans organizations. View our Discography section for information about our recordings. For free copies, a CD Request Form must be submitted to the Navy Band.

Unfortunately, we do not produce our recordings in sufficient numbers to be able to fulfill individual requests.  Please have your local library use the CD Request Form.  We will be happy to send a full set of our most recent recordings.
