Pete Tebeau has been an instructor at the Coast Guard Academy since 2007 teaching Marine Pollution, Introduction to Marine and Atmospheric Science, Physical Oceanography and Meteorology. He is a 1971 graduate of the Academy and spent 22 years on active duty before retiring as a Commander in 1993. His active duty experience included ice operations, marine environmental protection and research and development. Since 1993 he has worked as a maritime consultant focusing on strategic analysis and technology development in the areas of spill response, marine environmental compliance, port safety and security, search and rescue and maritime information systems. He is also an assistant crew coach at the Academy.
