All senior management majors have the opportunity to serve on a Management Consulting team tackling challenging real-world projects both in the Coast Guard and public sector. Each capstone project is unique and enables students to apply their knowledge and skills attained in the major to solve a business problem that will help contribute to improved operations with the client organization. Recent projects have included a review of Coast Guard accounting and inventory policies at the Engineering Logistics Center, a complete redesign and cost-benefit analysis of the morale and support facilities at Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, and an in-depth analysis of the leadership traits of the most successful junior officers serving in the Coast Guard.
