Individuals may request a flag to be flown over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. The requests must be submitted in writing to the address below and include a personally purchased U.S. Flag. The request must include the details of the individual for which the flag is being flown as well as the date for which the flag is requested to be returned. A return envelope with postage paid is required or the flag will be returned to sender without action. Please allow 3 weeks from the date Arlington National Cemetery receives the flag for return receipt. Arlington National Cemetery is not responsible for the loss or damage to any flag mailed.
