Test Review And Education Division

The Test Review and Education Division of the Directorate of Evaluation and Standardization, DLIFLC, was established to accomplish the following tasks:

  • Ensure compliance with US Government Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency guidelines and the ILR proficiency standards in reading and listening test development through training of all DLPT-5 Test Development teams under USG or through contractors.
  • Review all DLPT-5 items developed by, or under the guidance of, DLIFLC in all languages.
  • Provide training and education to the DLIFLC Faculty for norming on the ILR Listening and Reading standards among training, sustainment, and assessment elements of DLIFLC, through ILR Text Typology and Passage Rating Courses.
  • Provide training to test development teams for In-Course Proficiency Tests, which are developed and used at DLIFLC, including team training, review, and feedback support for ensuring full compliance and adherence with the ILR guidelines and standards.
