Recognizing the increasingly expeditionary nature of USACE Operations, for both military and civilian team members and their families, Family Readiness assumes the same importance as in a Line Unit. The goal of this project is to permanently build Family Readiness into USACE’s routine operations.
The Family Readiness program supports the expeditionary workforce of USACE in three crucial ways: 1) to and care for families of employees who deploy to support the Overseas Contingency Operation (OCO) and disasters in which the Corps is engaged; 2) provide civilian employees, soldiers, and all family members the opportunity to influence standards of living within the Army through the Army Family Action Plan (AFAP), enabling the Army to be a better place to work; 3) encourage team member deployment to support OCO.
Our USACE Family Readiness program consists of four functional areas: Army Family Action Plan (AFAP), Casualty Management, Pre-Deployment, and Deployment/Post-Deployment. Below are links to current Family Readiness documents.
