This base is home to the Atlantic Fleet Seabees. There are also more than 45 tenants who call NCBC home.

Installation Information

NCBC exists to maintain and operate facilities and provide services and material in support of Naval Construction Force Units, to include Amphibious Construction Fleet Units, the Maritime Prepositioning Force (Enhanced), and other fleet and assigned organizational units deployed from or homeported at NCBC Gulfport, and to perform such other functions and tasks as may be assigned by higher authority.

NCBC ENERGY FAIR - As part of Energy Awareness Month, Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) Public Works will partner with Mississippi Power to host an Energy Fair Oct. 17, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The fair will take place in front of the Navy Exchange and include static displays, demonstrations and provide information designed to illustrate the latest technology and equipment used to increase energy efficiency and awareness in the government and civilian population.

34th ANNUAL SALUTE TO THE MILITARY - Reserve your table now for 34th Annual Salute to the Military. The Gulf Coast Salute to the Military will take place Oct. 23 at 6 p.m., at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center. Featured guest speaker is the Honorable Michael B. VETERANS STAND DOWN - The Seabee Memorial Chapel is collecting backpack items such as clothing, toiletries and other essentials for the annual Veterans Stand Down Oct. 17, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (VA) in Biloxi. Donations may be dropped off at the chapel during normal duty hours.

FRIGHT NIGHT AT THE LAKE - MWR will host FRIGHT NIGHT At The LAKE Oct. 26, 6 - 9 p.m. at Seabee Lake. Fright Night will feature a Haunted Maze, Fear Factor Stations, Hayrides, Trick or Treat, Children’s Costume Contest, Food Vendors, Music, Children’s games and activities. The program carries out a policy from the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Filing a Claim With The Navy For Personal Property Damage Caused By Hurricane Isaac

1. If you suffered loss or damaged to your personal property due to Hurricane Isaac, you can file a claim if:
A. The property was located on base or in your Government assigned
quarters when it was damaged. Government assigned quarters is defined as housing provided in kind by the Government or PPV housing located within the perimeter of the installation.
B. You are a proper claimant under the Personnel Claims Act. A
proper claimant is an active duty member, a reservist on active duty, or a civilian employee of the Department of Navy.
2. Claims packets for filing your claim with the Navy can be found on-line at http://www.jag.navy.mil. Click on “claims” under “For Sailors and families” then select “packets and forms” on the right side of the screen. You may also obtain packages from the Office of the OJAG Personnel Claims Unit Norfolk (PCUN). PCUN information:

3. If you have private insurance covering your loss, you must make a demand against your private insurance carrier and include a copy of the insurance settlement and submit it with your claim package. If the damages total an amount less than your deductible, you simply need to attach a current copy of your declaration page showing the deductible. You can request an emergency advance in the amount of your insurance policy deductible. You must provide a copy of the claim you filed with your private insurance carrier.

---ANNISTON ELEMENTARY FUN RUN - Anniston Elementary School needs volunteers Oct. 19, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., and Nov. 7, 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The Oct. 19 volunteers will be asked to pass out food, drinks and information on the Fun Run at the school. Nov. 7 volunteers will participate in setting up the Fun Run, running with the students and breaking down the event. Please call Megan Straub at 228-896-6309 to volunteer.
---ANNUAL BUDDY WALK - The Mississippi Gulf Coast Down Syndrome Society will hold its annual 1-mile Buddy Walk to raise awareness of those with Trisomy 21 (aka Down Syndrome), Oct. 20 at 3 pm., at the Gulfport Sportsplex.
