The Criminal Division is the largest division of the office's four divisions. Attorney's in the Criminal Division handle the prosecution of all types of crimes under federal law ranging from complex white collar crime, public corruption, investment schemes, illegal immigration and alien smuggling, drug trafficking, firearms violations and homicides. The largest sections within the Criminal Division are the Major Crimes Section, which prosecutes cases involving violent robberies, guns, Social Security fraud and criminal immigration violations. The criminal section also includes: Anti-Terrorism Task Force, Appellate, Asset Forfeiture, and OCDETF.
