Survivors' Casualty Assistance Guide
CMAOC offers an online Guide for Families of Fallen Soldiers, which includes video interviews of Survivors sharing their experiences.
This Guide is specifically intended for the use of the primary next of kin (PNOK) of Soldiers who die while on active duty. It provides an overview of the rights, benefits, privileges, and entitlements that may be available, as well as the process involved in exercising them. Not all PNOKs are eligible for all the benefits discussed in this document. As a PNOK, you will be assigned a Casualty Assistance Officer (CAO) who will assist you in determining which benefits you are entitled to.
