Students at Fort Rucker Primary School enjoy games in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. While participating in Read Across America, the school attempted to capture special moments from beloved Dr. Seuss books to use in games for the students to enjoy. Read Across America promotes reading year-round, but encourages schools annually to celebrate reading on March 2, Dr. Seuss’ birthday. In the words of Dr. Seuss, “You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.” The National Education Association encourages adult to follow Dr. Seuss’ words of wisdom by promoting Read Across America in schools.
