Networks
The Academy operates on three separate networks – .MIL, .EDU, and wireless . All Academy personnel, including cadets, have accounts on one/all of the aforementioned networks.

Internal Coast Guard information can be found on the .MIL network; it is primarily used for communication and information sharing with other Coast Guard units. The .MIL network is managed by Coast Guard Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (TISCOM) in Alexandria, Virginia.

The .EDU network is primarily used by the cadets and faculty in support of academic studies. In Chase Hall (the cadet barracks), each room is equipped with connections to the .edu network. The .edu network is managed by the Academy's Information Services Division.  There are wireless access points throughout Chase Hall and other areas around the campus.

The Academy is a member of the Connecticut Educational Network (CEN). CEN provides Internet access to the .EDI network. CEN also provides access to the next generation Internet2, the Connecticut Digital Library and thousands of other resources exclusively targeted to students, teachers, researchers and administrators in Connecticut’s educational institutions.
