Colonel Jeffrey C. McKitrick

JUDGE ADVOCATE

Colonel McKitrick assumed duties as the Judge Advocate UNC/CFC/EUSA in June 2010.  From July 2008 to June 2010 Colonel McKitrick was the Staff Judge Advocate for I Corps and Fort Lewis and the Staff Judge Advocate for Multi-National Corps Iraq when I Corps deployed to Iraq from April 2009 to March 2010. 

Colonel McKitrick attended the University of Alaska, Fairbanks on an Army ROTC Scholarship. He graduated with a major in Political Science. An ROTC Distinguished Military Student and Graduate he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1981.  COL McKitrick was accepted into the educational delay program, and attended law school at Saint Mary’s School of Law, San Antonio, Texas.  Upon graduation, he received his Juris Doctorate and entered active duty with the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps in January 1985. 

Colonel McKitrick is a graduate of the AMEDD Officer Basic Course, (1985); the 116th Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course; (1988); US Army Airborne Course (1988); the Combined Arms and Services Staff School (1995); and the Command and General Staff College (1998).  He received a Masters of Law (Military Law) upon graduation from the 44th Judge Advocate Officer Graduate Course (1995-96). Colonel McKitrick attended the National War College in Washington, D.C. and received a Master of Science in National Security (2007-2008)

Significant Awards include; Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with Two Oak Leafs Clusters, Defense Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with Four Oak Leafs Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Meritorious Unit Award with Two Oak Leafs Clusters and Army Superior Unit Award.

Colonel McKitrick is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas and he is a member of the Texas State Bar Association.  He is also admitted to practice before the Army Court of Military Review. 

Colonel McKitrick is married to Therese Antoinette Ziino-McKitrick and they have three children, Gina (28) Sheridan (15) and Spencer (10).  

SGM Cook

SGM CookSGM Cook was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on 17 April 1964; the son of Charles and Shelby Cook.  He entered the U.S. Army on 6 May 1986 in Jackson, Mississippi and attended Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and AIT as a Legal Specialist at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana.

SGM Cook is a graduate of the Sergeants Major Academy, Class 58, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Battle Staff, Airborne, Air Assault and Basic Instructor Course.  SGM Cook has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Excelsior College and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration from Webster.

SGM Cook is currently serving as the Paralegal Sergeant Major for the Eighth U.S. Army.  His previous assignments include 35th Signal Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps and 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Paralegal NCO for U.S. Army Japan, Camp Zama, Japan; Instructor, 27D AIT, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Chief Paralegal NCO, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Chief Paralegal NCO, National Training Center and Fort Irwin, California; Chief Paralegal NCO, U.S. Army Alaska, Fort Richardson, Alaska; Chief Paralegal NCO, U.S. Army Medical Command, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  SGM Cook deployed to Kosovo in 2001 and Iraq in 2005.

SGM Cook’s awards and decorations include:  the Meritorious Service Medal (5th Award), Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Army Achievement Medal (4th Award), Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), National Defense Service Medal (with Bronze Star Device), Kosovo Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (with numeral 4 device), Overseas Service Ribbon (with numeral 3 Device), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (2d Award), NATO Medal, Parachute Badge, and Air Assault Badge.

SGM Cook is married to Amy M. Cook, and they have two daughters, Magnolia and Willow.
