BGRR Construction, 1948

From the Introduction to the BGRR Technical Manual, 1962:
The BGRR complex was designed and built by the H. K. Ferguson Company, with the help of the M.I.T. Servomechanisms Laboratory for the nuclear instrumentation and the control rods. Jackson & Moreland. Inc. was the general contractor for construction. The Babcock & Wilcox Company reviewed the design and made some recommendations for change, most of which were carried out. All of this design and construction work was carried out under the supervision of Brookhaven National Laboratory scientists and engineers who have also, in the years since 1950, made extensive changes of their own, particularly in the areas of instrumentation, water treatment and core design."
