Engineers and scientists are among the types of professionals we need most. NAVAIR needs qualified engineers and scientists with a variety of focuses to support and lead projects involving state-of-the-art and very complex elements of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aircraft and weapons systems, the very complex systems within those aircraft and weapons systems, and the land-based and shipboard systems with which they interface. Openings and opportunities vary by location but include systems research, design, analysis, modification, prototyping, integration, development, test, modeling and simulation. Individual work assignments can vary from very analytical to very hands-on. As part of an aircraft or weapon systems team, you’ll work together with other engineers, scientists and technicians, using a wide array of tools and techniques to develop new systems and improve the performance of existing systems used by U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel.

NAVAIR also has strong needs for logisticians, contract specialists and financial management analysts to provide contractual and financial documentation to support the procurement, supply and maintenance of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aircraft and weapons systems.

Engineering Psychologist

You’ll focus on cockpit information displays/processing, situational awareness technologies, helmet mounted displays/cueing systems and collaborative data sharing technologies/processing. Openings and opportunities vary by location but include systems research, design, analysis, modification, prototyping, integration, development, test and flight simulation modeling and testing. Research Psychologist
