Transitioning to an Overseas Assignment with a Special Needs Child, developed by the Office of Overseas Schools and its Advisory Committee on Exceptional Children and Youth, is designed to help families think through such decisions and contains links to useful Internet and publication resources for both gifted children and children with learning disabilities.
Count Me In! Developing Inclusive International Schools, a book on developing inclusive international schools, an Overseas Schools Advisory Council (OSAC) project, is now in its fourth edition. The book is written for teachers, administrators, parents, and students as a guide to improving instructional strategies and educational programs. It can be accessed on the Internet.
