Cross-Sex Pat Search Practices: Findings from NIC Telephone Research

Findings of this telephone survey indicate that in prisons of six states (Connecticut, Kansas, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, and the Muncy facility in Pennsylvania) and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBP) cross-sex pat searches of women are performed routinely.
