OPERATIONS RESEARCH
Operations research applies mathematics to model real-world systems in order to provide commanders with a scientific basis on which to improve military operations. The computer science, economics and geosciences, management and mathematical sciences departments teach courses including computer simulation, microeconomic theory, probabilistic models, and matrices and differential equations in support of the operations research major.
