Afghan Public Protection Force to become Afghan’s newest guards
As of June 4, the APPF has a force of approximately 16,000 guards. This includes about 6,000 pre-existing APPF guards and 6,000 guards who have transitioned from private security companies. Its target goal is approximately 30,000 guards by March 2013.

“Right now we have the capacity for 250 students. In the near future we will have the capacity for 500 students,” said Col. Nawaz Safi, Director of Education and Training for the APPF. ”We are working to build large classes, [a] conference room, convoy field, and ranges.
