Excellence in Practice Awards

The Defense Travel Management Office is pleased to announce the winners of its 2012 Excellence in Practice Awards, which are designed to recognize those who have excelled in travel program management and have successfully addressed issues with exemplary professional skills, creativity and resourcefulness.

The Champion was awarded to Ms. A. Dublin for her support to the United States Forces Afghanistan. The award recognizes a Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) whose wisdom, guidance, and commitment to his or her Organization DTAs (ODTAs) has made a fundamental and long-term positive impact on their travel program.

The Elite was awarded to the Missile Defense Agency Travel Office. The award recognizes a local help desk team for delivering the highest levels of customer service.

The Icon was awarded to the OSD Policy Travel Office. The award recognizes a military service major command or defense agency team that has, with exemplary professional skill, successfully communicated and provided guidance for travel-related updates.

The Excellence in Practices Awards program is operated on an annual cycle to honor the hard work and exceptional customer service of DoD travel professionals. Our next nomination period will begin in late Fall 2012, so please continue to monitor this page for additional information.
