Part 2

Description
Accessing the Federal Marketplace
Discover the factors involved in determining if a vendor is eligible to participate in the GSA Contract Program, including how to determine financial stability. Assess your situation and find the appropriate fit with the GSA Program using online tools to conduct competitive research. Learn how to utilize CTA’s, Subcontracting, and the Mentor-Protégé program to succeed in the Federal marketplace.
GSA’s Culture of Innovation and Sustainability
One of the keys to working with the federal government is a clear understanding of the intricacies of the General Services Administration including the GSA's mission, goals and organization. This workshop is an overview of GSA's procurement programs with special emphasis on sustainability as well as green products and services.  Discover the various types of acquisition contracts that GSA offers for use to government entities at the Federal, state and local levels.  Learn more about the importance of "going green", including how your customers can find green sources.  An overview of the Public Buildings Service and GSA’s Lease and Realty programs is also included.

Description
Proposal Strategies and Subcontracting/Teaming
Review the steps involved in securing a GSA Contract Award – from locating the Solicitation/RFP and developing a strategy, to preparing a proposal and conducting contract negotiations.  This workshop will show you how to develop a solid strategy, prepare and submit a proposal, and handle negotiations and revisions, including how to avoid the most common proposal mistakes.  Learn the intricacies of subcontracting and teaming arrangements including:  roles and responsibilities, presenting a solid offer, and how to prepare a contractor team arrangement.  In addition, you’ll discover the in’s and out’s of preparing a quality offer by taking an in-depth look at the four technical sections required including: executive summary, past performance, Dunn and Bradstreet (D&B) open ratings, and quality assurance.
Contract Administration & Compliance
Success as a GSA Contractor is dependent upon a comprehensive understanding of what is involved in holding a GSA Contract. Discover how to utilize, maintain and successfully market your GSA Contract. Learn about compliance factors, including an in-depth look at the Price Reduction Clause, and how commercial sales affect GSA pricing.
Capstone Exercise: Roll-up Your Sleeves
Put your newfound proposal knowledge to work.  Get hands-on practice reviewing and writing sections of proposals in a safe environment.  Receive expert feedback and coaching throughout the process to help guide you to better proposal development.
