Who is Eligible for this Program?
The Department of Defense (DOD) Schools are available to the
following members of Team Coast Guard:
Purpose of Program
The strategic plan of Department of Defense Education
Activity (DoDEA) is to provide, in military communities worldwide, exemplary
educational programs that inspire and prepare all students for success in
a global environment. Both students from military families and children of
civilian employees in a military community are eligible to attend
DoDEA Schools. DoDEA provides a comprehensive curriculum from
Pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade that is competitive with that of
school systems in the United States.
Program
Confidentiality
Discussions of the information provided to enroll a child in a
DoDEA Schools are revealed only to
persons with a need to know in their role in the school.
Schools personnel are mandated reporters of suspected or substantiated
child abuse and are required to report such incidents to the appropriate
officials.
