Welcome to the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS*) website. The Assistant Secretary of Defense and Information Integration/DoD Chief Information Officer is the Chair of the CNSS.
As Chair of the CNSS, Ms. Teri Takai leads the only recognized national forum that has a Presidential mandate (NSD-42) to protect USG National Security Systems (NSS). In this role, she is responsible for the creation and maintenance of National-level Information Assurance operating issuances for NSS and for providing a comprehensive forum for strategic planning and operational decision-making to protect NSS for the U.S.
This site, established in 1997, provides a wealth of information about the CNSS and its activities. It will continue to expand and provide a wide array of information to support the Committee’s current and future activities. I invite you to browse our website and learn more about us.
