General, U.S. Army, Retired) is the recipient of the 2012 Ronald Reagan Missile Defense Award for his outstanding support and leadership of the United States’ ballistic missile defense program.

Nov. 13, 2009 - Rear Admiral Joseph A. Horn, USN, has relieved Rear Admiral Alan B. Hicks, USN, as the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Program Director, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense. In ceremonies Friday, Nov 13, at the Washington Navy Yard, Horn also assumed command of the Navy’s Air and Missile Defense Command.
