As an F-16 unit, the primary mission of the 180th Fighter Wing is to provide combat units, combat support units, and qualified personnel for active duty in the Air Force. The unit must be capable of deploying anywhere in the world within minimum response time. A secondary mission is to support local and state authorities in the event of a disaster situation.
