Building permits in October ‘11 were 653,000, up 10.9 percent from September ’11 and up 17.7 percent from October ’10. Housing starts were 628,000, down 0.3 percent from the prior month but up 16.5 percent from the prior year.
Building permits in September 2011 were 594,000, down 5.0 percent from August ’11 but up 5.7 percent from September ‘10. Housing starts were 658,000, up 15.0 percent from the prior month and up 10.2 percent from the prior year.
Building permits in August 2011 were 620,000, up 3.2 percent from July and up 7.8 percent from August 2010. Housing starts were 571,000, down 5.0 percent from the prior month and down 5.8 percent from the prior year.
Building permits in July 2011 were 597,000, down 3.2 percent from June and up 3.8 percent from July 2010. Housing starts were 604,000, down1.5 percent from the prior month and up 9.8 percent from the prior year.
Building permits in June 2011 were 624,000, up 2.5% from May and up 6.7% from June 2010. Housing starts were 629,000, up 14.6% from the prior month, and up 16.7% from the prior year.
