Air Force Wins 8th Consecutive
Armed Forces Rugby Title |

After losing their last game to the Marine Corps in 2005 at MCB Camp Lejeune in front of over 300 Marines, the All-Air Force Rugby club has cruised through every Armed Forces Rugby Championship since.
The 2011 Armed Forces Championship would be no exception. Rolling through the round-robin play with an astounding 147 points for and only 19 against, Air Force entered the Championship Game to defeat the Coast Guard 55 – 7.
Winless in 2009, the All-Coast Guard team competed for the crown for their consecutive year in a row. Rolling through their competition, the Coast Guard’s only loss in round-robin play came to the Air Force.
In consolation play, the Navy faced Army in their rematch from 2010. This time, Navy was victorious with a 26-12 win, placing them 3rd in the tournament. Final Standings: |
