Children's Treehouse Child Development Center

The Children's Tree House Child Development Center is a nature-based preschool located on the campus of the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. The Center's mission is to connect children with nature, instill value for the environment, and build the foundation for their educational journey.

A Nature Explore outdoor classroom is located on the grounds of the Children's Tree House to inspire in children a life-long sense of wonder about nature. Children use their five senses to experience, learn, and grow in a natural setting as they discover, ponder, and explore nature.

The Children's Tree House accepts infants to five-year olds for full-time and part-time care from U.S. Fish and Wildlife staff and others attending training at NCTC, NCTC employees, and local residents. FWS employees and others attending training at NCTC who need care for their children must contact the Children's Tree House Director at least two weeks in advance, as space is limited.

Hours of operation are from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. A parent or guardian must submit a completed registration packet before a child can be considered for the program.
