Project TRANSAM Help
This is the main help module for transam equipment reservations. If after reading this your question is still not answered, please contact the Project Coordinator, Liaison Officer, or Data Support person.
 
Access Request To use this site you must have an IHS Internet account. Register on the IHS Internet first. Your ITU code must be Government, Tribal, or Urban. Log in to the IHS Internet. After you have logged in, the TRANSAM Access Request link will be available to you.
 
Reserve, Approve, Transfer These three areas work similary.
  1. Click on any of the three links. If the link is not available try logging in. If the link is still not available, you are either not authorized to perform these functions or you do not have acccess to the system yet. Use the Access Request link.
  2. Locate the property you want to reserve. Use the list or the "Search for equipment" link.
  3. Click on the ID number of the item you would like to reserve, approve, or transfer. You can also approve or transfer multiple items at once, which will skip the remainder of these steps. Check the box by each item and then select the "Approve" or "Transfer" button at the bottom of the list.
  4. Make sure that your name, date, and email address are correct.
  5. Select the button at the bottom right of the screen to reserve, approve, or transfer.
You can also release items that you have reserved or "unreserve" them. This is only possible if the reserved item has not been approved yet. Select the item and you will see an "Undo Reserve" button at the bottom right of the screen
 
Searching Certain areas of the site allow you to search for different things. The search capability is similar in the different areas in which it's available. To increase the scope of your search, use the asterisk(*) as a wildcard symbol before and/or after a keyword you are looking for.
To get out of search mode, select a different area of the TRANSAM from the left side site navigation menu.
 
Status
The status column indicates the status of a piece of equipment. When the status is Available the equipment is available and can be reserved. When the status is Reserved the equipment has been reserved by you or another user. When the status is Approved it means that someone in a higher position has approved that piece of equipment for transfer. When the status is Transferred, the piece of equipment has been transferred to you.
