The sourcebook is NOT a replacement for basic CHR training.
The sourcebook contains information and activities on heart disease and stroke and on the major risk factors for these diseases in adults. It also contains information on risk factors that begin in childhood. Additionally, it addresses people’s adherence to treatment and their communication with health care providers.

Indian Country Environmental Hazard Assessment Training Project (ICEHAP): Training
in environmental hazard assessment is provided to tribes wishing to solve environmental
problems (e.g. mold, lead paint, contaminated soil, abandoned properties, open
pit dumps, leaking USTs, etc..) on their lands. Sponsored by the U.S. Food and
Drug Administration, in cooperation with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the
Environmental Protection Agency, the training is presented upon request by ICEHAP
volunteers.
