    Ground Transportation

You are responsible for the cost of ground transportation between your residence and airport of departure and NIC cannot reimburse those costs.

This training is to be held at the NIC Training Center in Aurora, Colorado. The training site information is included in accompanying correspondence. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle transportation to and from the Denver International Airport. Upon your arrival at the Denver airport, go to the telephone board by the baggage claim area and telephone the hotel to let them know you are awaiting the shuttle. The shuttles runs between 6 am and 11 pm. If you arrive at another time, you are responsible for arranging your own ground transportation and for its cost. Make sure you catch the correct shuttle - the one going to Doubletree Hotel Denver Southeast.

NIC will also provide free shuttle transportation through Gray Line Transportation between the hotel and training center on each day of the training. The coaches will depart the front of the hotel promptly at 7:30 a.m. each day (unless a particular program requires a different departure time, in which case you will be notified ahead of time). Gray Line will also provide return transportation at the end of each training day (in most cases, at 5 p.m. and at or near 12 noon on the last day). If you miss that transportation, you will have to arrange, and pay for, your own transportation to or from the training center.

If you choose to rent a car, it is advantageous to reserve the car well in advance of your travel. Since Colorado is a popular destination, rental cars are often not available and are more expensive if they are not reserved well in advance. The rental car will be at your expense and NIC cannot reimburse you.
