Processing Time Frames

On-Line, Written and Fax Transmission Waiver Requests

We make every attempt to process your waiver request in a timely manner. Assuming all relevant information has been provided, our goal is to issue a written decision within seven days after receipt of the request. During seasonal volume surges, if pertinent details are missing, and/or if your request involves a project-level/technically involved situation, processing times will vary. We will do our best, however, to minimize any delay.

Waiver Requests on the Basis of Price, Involving Comparable Items

Action shall be taken by FPI within five business days of receipt of a federal agency’s written request. The waiver will either be granted, or FPI may agree to perform the work at a price equal to, or less than, the private sector vendor’s offer determined to represent “best value.”

Basis for Waiver Denial

A decision by FPI to deny a waiver request, or to deny a waiver appeal, shall be supported in writing by specific determinations and findings.
