Hey! My name is Tyler Wright and I am a 4/c here at the United States Coast Guard Academy. I am from Roanoke, Virginia but I have moved several times throughout Virginia. My planned major so far is Government, and I am a member of the football team.

I actually went to a year of prep school in Marion, Alabama as part of the CGA Scholars Program before I came to the Academy. It was a great year to get prepared academically, as well as find out more of what a military college lifestyle was. At the end of the year I received a full appointment to the Coast Guard Academy.

I decided to be a part of the Cadet Blog Club because I know I found it very beneficial when I was applying to the Academy. I remember reading almost every one to get a feel for what I was getting into.
