Disaster Relief Services are available to everyone in need in
time of disaster.
Other services are specifically intended for military members and their
families as discussed below.
Purpose of Program
The American Red Cross, chartered by Congress, provides
relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for, and
respond to emergencies. Your Red Cross provides education to help prevent
and prepare for emergencies, as well as responding to emergencies.
Red Cross Disaster Relief focuses on meeting the emergency
disaster-caused needs of individuals and families. The Red Cross responds to
disasters ranging from single-home fire to national disasters.
Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces serves and supports
members of the military, veterans, and their families through a worldwide
network of Red Cross staff and volunteers. Services include providing:

Services normally are obtained by contacting the
nearest Chapter

the American Red Cross. Further assistance in accessing Red Cross services
can be obtained by contacting the Employee Assistance Program Coordinator (EAPC)
at your regional
Regional Work-Life Office.
