Providing a reliable, comprehensive view of USGS data that accelerates scientific discovery and reveals new connections to increase our understanding of Earth's natural systems.

CSAS Mission

With expertise in technology, informatics, and science, CSAS leads the management and delivery of scientific data and information for the USGS. CSAS implements and promotes standards and best practices to enable efficient, data-driven science for decision making at multiple scales. We build critical relationships to identify the data, and to develop and deploy appropriate technological solutions that support rapid response to emerging natural resource issues.

ScienceBase

An integrated database providing access to aggregated information derived from many data and information domains. ScienceBase includes feeds from existing data systems, metadata catalogs, and scientists contributing new and original content. Enter ScienceBase

MyUSGS

A collaborative information management system, ideal for communities of practice within USGS and between USGS and USGS partners. Its key components are a document management tool, a collaborative wiki known as Confluence, and an integrated user interface that allows community members to tie these and other applications together into one portal.
