Fiscal Year 2010 Budget Request

On May 7, 2009, President Barack Obama released his detailed fiscal year 2010 budget request. The budget requests $1.149 billion for the Corporation for National and Community Service and its programs, a $260 million increase over the FY 2009 enacted level. This budget strengthens existing programs and invests in new initiatives authorized by the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act.

On December 16, 2009, President Obama signed into law the Fiscal Year 2010 Consolidated Appropriations Act. The Act includes $1.149 billion for the Corporation and its programs, fully funding the President's request. Below is more information about the Corporation's budget request:

On February 26, 2009, the President released an initial fiscal year 2010 budget request. That initial request has been replaced by the detailed FY 2010 budget request released on May 7, 2009. Below is information on the original request:
