Mission: The Honors Program at the Academy aims to cultivate academic excellence across all majors and encourage and reward scholarly achievement.The USCGA offers the following to fourth and third-class cadets:
- special sections of core courses such as the Art of Effective Writing and Honors Literature
- validation and placement in advanced courses in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics
Second and first-class cadets may be selected for the Honors Colloquium to compete for:
- prestigious scholarships such as the Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, Truman, etc.
- international summer internships and travel to academic conferences to present their research
