If a biobased product falls within a category for which there is a Federal procurement preference, you may list that product in the BioPreferred® catalog.
The BioPreferred catalog is used by the Department of Defense, Federal government Agencies and Federal contractor personnel seeking information on biobased products for potential purchase. It is also used by the general consumer and commercial sector seeking biobased products.
In order for a product to be listed in the catalog, it must meet the minimum biobased content standard for the product category. To see a list of product categories, access the following link: BioPreferred Product Categories April 2012.
Note: Products that receive the BioPreferred label are automatically listed in the BioPreferred catalog, so there is no need to submit product information for labeled products.

Two Step Process

- The first step in getting your product in the BioPreferred catalog involves acquiring a USDA eAuthentication account. After you have registered for eAuthentication you will use this User ID and password to login to the BioPreferred database.
- After creating an eAuthentication account or if you already have an account, then Login Here to submit products for the BioPreferred Catalog.
