CAMPUS
Yeaton Hall
Yeaton Hall (formerly used as enlisted barracks) is named after Hopley Yeaton, the first commissioned officer of the United States Coast Guard.

Yeaton Hall houses the Leadership Development Center (LDC). Established in 1998, the LDC creates an educational center of leadership excellence for the entire Coast Guard – officers, enlisted, and civilians. Over 5,000 students per year attend over 20 accredited courses at the following branches: Chief Petty Officer Academy, Officer Accessions and Transition Branch, Command and Operations Branch, and Leadership and Organizational Performance Branch.

Yeaton Hall also houses the Nautical Science department, which is used by the entire Academy and includes a bridge simulator, named Ship's Control and Navigation Training System (SCANTS).

The Guns
The Guns come from the Boston Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse still in commission. In yesteryear, lighthouses such as the Boston Light would use these cannon to give periodic audio warnings to ships to stay clear of that particular area. These cannons are now used to render honors during Regimental Review, Academy graduations, ceremonies, and OCS graduations.
